Dear 吉利,
兩週的時間好快就過去了, 從去機場接妳, 到妳開始打包準備回台時, 我的心情開始很不安與落寞起來, 很不捨妳回去, 但我真的很高興妳來看我, spend time with me... 從妳msn決定要來的一差那, 我就開始問Grace 有那些地方可以去走走的…老實跟妳說, 我心理還有點怕怕的…..不是我得了恐懼開車去 downtown, 一是真的路很不熟悉,二是我們都很瘋狂, 怕亂開,或吃單子.….希望妳諒解.
妳回去以後, 我一直在回想, 為何這兩週過的特快, 於是我好好回想這兩週的行程…想一想, 行程還蠻豐富的 :
l 12/18- Gilly Arrive LAX on CI008, 18:50. J
l 12/19- 7:00am Bikram Yoga, 11:00am Grace home, 12:00pm Eddie’s apt. Lunch at “Fisherman's Outlet Restaurant and Market”. 2:00~4:00pm hang out at Eddie’s. 4:00pm~6:00pm driving back from downtown to San Dimas average of 30KM. Went home, rest and meet sis at “El Torito” for dinner.
l 12/20- 6:30pm Frank pick up. 8:30pm dinner at Thai Town “Thai Patio”
l 12/21- Originally Frank was supposed to pick us up at 12:30pm, but he got caught up with work. Gillian and I went to “In-N-Out” to get lunch. 2:30pm Frank came and we head to Rodeo Drive. Snack at “McCormicks & Schmicks”. Cruising on Hollywood Blvd, Mann’s Chinese Theather and Kodak Theather. Then cruising on Sunset Blvd. and Sunset Strip, stopped at “Le Petit Four” for snacks and drinks. 8:00pm Frank dropped up off at Monterey Park “鳳城” to meet up with Sis, Nelson, Sarah, Agnes, Peter, Karen, Sabrina, Kendrick, and Melinda.
l 12/22- Slept and stay home all day. Dinner with Nelson and Sarah at Hacienda Heights, ”一條龍”, then we went to 99 Ranch Market to buy X’mas Party food.
l 12/23- In the afternoon, we went to Walmart to return my shoes. 2nd, went to KOHLs to buy X’mas ‘White Elephant’ present. 3rd, we went to Trader Joe’s to get gravy and veggies. 4th, we went to Party City to buy lights and decoration stuffs. Then we went home and wait for sis to come home. We went to Montclair’s “Olive Garden”.
l 12/24- From lunch time we start cooking for the X’mas party. Decorate the house. I made homemade Minestrone veggie soup, and instant mash potatoes and gravy. Gillian made salad, and 蠔油芥藍, Nelson的哥哥 Peter, 老婆 Karen, 與小女兒 Sabrina 從德州來 LA 過節, 他們帶來一支大火腿, 跟蛋糕甜點. Agnes 帶炒飯, Agnes 的兒子 Alex 與媳婦 Brandie 帶了一隻快18磅的大火雞. Ted stayed after the party and we chat, drank, and played cards….Gillian teach him how to play BIG OLD TWO “大老二”.
l 12/25- Slept til 1:00pm. Nelson, Sis and Sarah went to the movies with Peter. Gillian and I rest at home. 7:00pm meet up with Sis, Nelson, Sarah, and Sabrina at a Thai restaurant in San Gabriel. After dinner, took sis home first. Gillian and I went to Grace home and hang out til 12:00am
l 12/26- At 2:00pm we head out to Santa Monica Beach. Then, walked and shopped on 3rd Street Promenade. Dinner at “Johnny Rockets Burger”.
l 12/27- At 2:30pm Sis, Nelson, Sarah we all went to downtown to have late lunch at “Phillipe” famous French Dip, met up with Ted there. Then, we went to “Olvera Street” walked and shop. Dinner at “Mayumba Cuban Cuisine”. Then Ted came to our house and hung out.
l 12/28- Stay home and eat Menudo and left overs …
l 12/29- 1:45pm arrived Ted’s home, and head out to Melrose Blvd. Had some snack at “The Burger Place”, then we head out to “Farmer’s Market” located on Fairfax and 3rd street. Shopped at “The Grove”, dinner at Farmer’s Market had New Orleans food at “The Gumbo Pot”, we had Seafood Ya-ya, Gumbo Ya-ya, Cajun chicken blackned Po Boy (Sandwich) and a fried combo dish. Went back to Ted’s place, hang out a bit.
l 12/30- Afternoon went to Party City to return some stuffs. Went to Target to get coffee. Shopped a little at VONS. Went home at 6:15pm to meet up with Nelson and Sarah. Heading to Glendale “The Americana” to “The Cheesecake Factory”, get reservation, Gillian went to True Religion to get jeans. Dinner with Sis colleague Helena Wang, and sis family. 12:30am, Gillian and I decided to go to Walmart for a late night shopping, and get stuffs for Patty (Cetaphil, Enfamil) and Wu-Ge (Rogaine).
l 12/31- 1:00pm meet up at Ted’s, then to E.LA to buy chocolates and cakes. 3:00pm back to Ted’s place. 4:30 go home and chill. 7:30pm, Gillian’s dinner treat at “Marie Callender’s” …Comfort food…Turkey, Meat Loaf, Sheperd’s Pie, Sirloin steak. Arrived at Grace home at 10:30pm. Drink, chat, play cards, and countdown to 2009 !!
l 01/01- Got up, went to do manicure and pedicure at Glendora. Dashed home and meet up with Nelson and Sarah. Drove one car, and head to Monterey Park to see Nelson’s dad, and pick up Agnes. 7:30pm dinner at Persian restaurant in Glendale “Shiraz”. After coming home, Gillian started to pack …. L… after packing, we played cards… until we both felt very tired….and hoping this night will never end …..
l 01/02- Ted came to our house at 9am. This morning was the hardest part for me … watching Gillian departing the house ….it was a very emotionally moment. I checked the room and gave Gilly a big hearty hug and cried….. 10:15am departing San Dimas to LAX. Had Mexican Combos (Tamales & Chile Relleno, Tacos & Enchilada) for lunch….and then see BFF depart LA at 13:50 …… cried on my way back…. Need time alone at home…Miss Gillian…
l 01/03- Arrive Taipei, CI005, 20:20. Jack and Pao pick up.
妳這趟來,我們蓄了很多舊, 從學校到出社會, 一路上相扶相持. 我這次離台不是短暫出差, 而是一個旅程的開始. 謝謝妳來 LA 陪我…. There are no words can be described on how much I appreciate and what you mean to me! 想到妳, 我就想哭 ~!
